Day 31 - On target but it wasn't my target.

This past week, my disasters mounted up to a score of less than 90%.
Good news or bad news first? Good news? Okay, so...

Good news - I've lost 12lbs in four weeks. Gareth's goal for me is 3lbs a week so I've achieved that target so far which is fantastic news! Pat on the back for me.

BUT I wanted 14lbs in this first month. I was almost there. As of last week, I'd lost a total of 13lbs and was so looking forward to seeing that last pound gone on the scales today, making the stone.

Bad news - I gained one pound this week.

I am so annoyed and disappointed with myself.  Having looked at my food diary, I can see where it went wrong and I've had a good think about what I could have done differently each of those times. That's where a food diary comes back to bite you on the bum!
I thought that I'd been really good these past four or five days and that it would have countered the naughty stuff at the weekend....

Gutted is the only word to describe how I am feeling right now.  This is where I would fall down in the past so I'm looking to Gareth to help keep me focused on the good stuff that I have achieved and keep me motivated.

I really wanted that stone but I'm going to move past this feeling and just be very glad that I've lost 12lbs and reached that target.

Onwards and upwards (or downwards hopefully). Now onto the next hurdle, Easter which is difficult for a lot of people but I will have to be particularly angelic now.

Along with a weigh-in today, the session also included a 'measuring'. This was good news! I'm not allowed to tell you here, Gareth will be writing a post this weekend with the measurements and the results of the second fitness test.

I am very pleased with the fitness test results and the measurements so it's not all bad!

Tomorrow Gareth is competing in a triathlon.

400 metres swim, 22km bike, 6km run. Yes, he's crazy. This is how he spends his bank holiday?

Anyway, I'm going to compete too, surprise!

Haha! Did you believe that? Probably not. No, I'm going along to see what a triathlon is all about and hopefully get motivated enough to do a novice triathlon myself in 6 months.

In the meantime, I am looking forward to seeing Gareth get completely exhausted! For once, it will be me standing around while watching him exercise.  Whoop! Whoop!

Right I need to go - I need to build a motivating banner for tomorrow.. any suggestions?!

  1. Keep going, doing very well. Fun blog. Ups and downs but like the G-Unit says keep on it. I do one glass of wine, one of water, less drunk, hydrated and half the calories. Who am I kidding but tried it a few times it's a good trick when out. I've modified it a little to one bottle of wine and one glance at a glass of water.
